Printing Drawings and Images on T-Shirts

In our online shop, you can find several designs that are actually drawings or paintings by our artist friends.

The first example is a drawing of a squirrel, which we included in the I’m all for rodentism design. It was drawn by Maja Juhant, a gentle artist and a wonderful, warm-hearted person. We all encounter hardships and love in our lives. Despite her own physical health challenges, Maja has an endless love for animals. So much so that she cares for them even when others would surely have given up on them. She is raising money for dental surgery for her elderly tomcat. And she loves animals so much that they are the central subject of virtually all her drawings. She creates drawings to order, mainly for her friends, but her work has also appeared on quite a few billboards and in marketing campaigns.

This is what the squirrel looks like on paper. At Garderoba, we process drawings so they are suitable for printing on T-shirts and other products. In this case, we added a caption—the idea came from a concept that Maja brought to life visually. Often, however, drawings do not need captions and are outstanding designs in their own right. To be honest, this little squirrel says an enormous amount even as a standalone drawing.

The squirrel with a hazelnut was created at our request. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Its eyes say more than could be described in words.

Another lovely example is the artwork of Mitja Bokun. His portrait of Frida Kahlo, combined with various quotes by her, makes an ideal gift for feminists and women who recognise their own magic.

Mitja is a painter with whom you can occasionally paint live in Ljubljana. He also often paints and draws for various marketing projects. His art is exceptional, precise and full of life.

Rožle also creates drawings for Garderoba. Rožle is still at school, but his art is playful, refined and exceptional at the same time. We were delighted to give his drawings a place in our online shop.

Rožle’s most popular T-shirt drawing is The butterfly that brings happiness.

And these are laces—real, handmade bobbin lace created by Rožle’s mum, Renata. We scanned them and printed them on mugs. A lovely Slovenian gift, isn’t it?
